Literature Text

Tears threatened to plummet from the corners of my eyes, Odin’s words piercing my sanity and heart to where it felt as though I’d collapse from lack of oxygen with every ragged breath I struggled to intake.

“And by all means necessary ,you, out of pure hate, and disrespect; departed from your chambers, and the safety that Asgard’s boundaries provided!”

His booming voice rattled every inch of posture I was still able to hold in this horrid situation, though the fact that my two older brothers eyes were observing from the sidelines; as they watched my dignity slowly deteriorate without the slightest bit of concern forming their godly features drove me more of the bridge that was already falling beneath my feet.
The only act I could perform was too gaze down at the marble floors, and just anticipate my consequence to be presented, and hope it not be to bleak.

“I have no other choice but to band you from Asgard, and any other of its partnering realms!”

‘No… this- he cant do this to me!’
I fell to my knees, my golden chest plate pushing up against my breasts. My (__f/c__) gown piled up in ripples around my small, timorous form.

“Father, with all do respect; don’t you find banishment rather… rash?”

The silvered tongued god’s voice broke the taciturnity of the disconsolate atmosphere that was partnered with my heavy inhalation that I couldn’t control.

“Is she not your only daughter? You must feel somewhat of a form of pity on her, since this statement is fact, yes?”

I could feel Loki’s eyes gazing down on my kneeling form. His sympathy practically radiated off of him in waves, hitting my heart with that of love, and to some degree, comfort.

“I’m certain if you were to--”

“I can not have the betrayal of my own daughter go un punished, just because you feel  ‘certain’ she deserves empathy! Heimdall has proven to me her guilt, and I as king-- no. I as her father pronounce her banished!"

Even though I wasn’t looking, I could tell my brother was horrified with the All Father’s decision. This only sent my heart into more of a rampaging mess.

“I want no more discussion on this, my decision is final!”

Odin stood from his golden throne, hitting the bottom of his staff on the ground in a signal of dismissal. Forcing both Loki, and Thor to give me one more forlorn glance before turning to leave.

‘I will no longer kneel to those who put me at the bottom, King or not, My father will not place me in this lowly position any further to the point of my unethical behavior!’
I fought my mind with the words that spewed from my heart, and forced my legs to stand me up. My eyes were now glued to Odin’s back, filled with nothing but hatred, and broken stability.

“How dare you…”

My words were cracked, but stern, thus stopping my brothers, and father in their departures.

“Sister, you would be wise not to drag this on further.”

Thor finally decided to put his say in the matter, even though he was to far late to add in anything more before I get my word in.

“And you sensible to allow your younger sibling to actually have a say in something that doesn’t have you as the center of interest; brother.”

Thor almost instantly turned to face me, from his stance on the stairs. His eyes were filled with indignant pain from my declaration.

“Choose your words wisely… you are my sister, but I would feel nothing fighting against you.”

Loki grasped onto Thor’s shoulder, forcing him to face himself.

“you will do no such thing.”

Odin’s eyes were watching my movements carefully, even though my own were on my two brothers who looked as though they’d clash at any moment.

“_______, you will listen to your king.”

The stern words broke my stare, and focused me in on the All Father. I couldn’t help but to grimace at his presence. He was no longer a father to me in my eyes, nevertheless a king.

“You can be so officious that it makes me not even want to look at you. You are no father! And one who punishes without proof, but just the word of a loyal friend is definitely no king!”

A sharp pain twisted my insides, and I suddenly lost feeling in my fingers.

“you are no daughter of mine… you are just a menace to this world, and any other you inhabit!”

My breathing yet again became unstable, and my vision became blurry. Odin had Gungnir pointed at my upper waist, showing no mercy.

“Father, stop!”

The words from Loki were the last audible communication I was able to make out before my hearing vanished, and all that filled me was the hatred of anything this world had to offer me.

“Does strength represent justice, if powerlessness is a crime!?”

The words pushed out from my mouth as I choked on the air that was able to make it in my lungs.

‘this is it… he’s going to kill me…’
My thoughts overran all of my senses as I was just able to stand there helpless.
Before my eyes could shut, large arms were wrapped around my body as I was lifted from the ground.
